The Army Museum is located in Prague, in Žižkov, in the historical National Liberation Memorial building. The first part of the exposition captures the period of the First World War, 1914-1918, and activities that led to the birth of the independent Czechoslovak state. The second part of the exposition looks at the Czechoslovak Republic between the wars, and its armed forces. The third exhibition area is devoted to the period of the Second World War and maps the participation of Czechs and Slovaks in military operations on the fronts, in the national resistance movement, and other campaigns striving to restore Czechoslovakia's independence.
